'Maverick' was painted by Ronald Wong, the well known aviation artist in July 2001.

The inscription reads:

"A GR7 of 20(R) Squadron, Royal Air Force Wittering, armed with Maverick air-to-ground missiles,on a low-level exercise in the Welsh mountains."

The print is signed by Mr John Farley.

The Maverick air-to-ground Infra-Red guided missile was used to good effect by the Harrier GR7 during the Second Gulf War in 2003.

The legendary Mr John Farley retired as Harrier Chief Test pilot in 1983. In his earlier RAF years he flew the Hawker Hunter, became a flying instructor at the RAF College Cranwell and then a test pilot.

The print paper measures 705mm wide x 510mm tall.
